Personal guided tours that feel at home online too
– a new website for Spanyolban Otthon

Kása Heni, an officially licensed tour guide in Spain, has lived in the country for more than 20 years and leads Hungarian-language city walks from Madrid to Andalusia. The new Spanyolban Otthon website is now live: the former Wix site has been replaced by a fast, easy-to-manage WordPress system that presents the walks, guides visitors through booking and is home to the SPOTT Blog, with more than fifty articles.

Project idea

Spanyolban Otthon is a personal brand: visitors aren’t looking for a travel agency but for Heni – her storytelling, her local knowledge and the tips she has gathered over 21 years. Over the years the old Wix site had built up a lot of valuable content, but it was hard to extend, information about the walks was scattered and the path to booking was unclear. The goal was a website that reflects Heni’s personality while quickly guiding visitors to the right walk and the booking request.

Our role

The brief was a complete redesign and rebuild: a new information architecture, a custom visual system, a consistent presentation of the city walks, and moving the blog and practical content from Wix to WordPress. Special care went into making sure nothing was lost in the move: old URLs were redirected, and articles, FAQs and reviews were carried over in a new, consistent format.
The challenge was that the content serves two audiences at once: guests booking walks, and readers travelling to Spain on their own, for whom the blog is the main way in.

Shared strategy

Trust is at the heart of the strategy. Choosing a tour guide is a personal decision, so Heni’s voice, genuine Google reviews and her professional background (official licences) are present throughout the site. The structure makes the decision simple: destination → walk → price and duration → booking request. The blog isn’t a separate section but the traffic engine, with recommendations next to the articles leading readers back to the walks.

full coverage

Consistent city pages

Seven city pages (Madrid, El Escorial, Toledo, Segovia, Seville, Córdoba, Málaga) follow a shared pattern, so every walk presents its route, duration and price in the same way.

The fifty-two articles got a new archive with category filters, curated topic sections, a table of contents and an editable FAQ block for each article.

Safe Wix migration

All content was moved to WordPress and the old Wix URLs were given 301 redirects, so existing search rankings and external links aren’t lost.

Trust-building elements

Genuine Google reviews matched to the relevant walk on each page, official licence numbers and a personal introduction support the decision.

Brand identity

The Spanyolban Otthon brand doesn’t follow the cool, photo-driven world of a classic travel agency: it is built on the warm colours of Spain and Heni’s personal voice. The warm cream background evokes sunny streets, the red and mustard yellow nod to the Spanish flag, and the deep teal gives a calm counterpoint. Gabarito headings and Figtree body text make a readable, friendly base, while the handwritten Caveat typeface appears as small personal notes (“¡olé!”, “¡nos vemos en España!”).
