// Our approach
A small team.
Aligned thinking.
“We like to understand what we do and why. And who it is for.”
Before we start a project, we like to get to know the business we are working for. We need to understand how it works, what its goals are and what problems it is trying to solve. That way we can build not just a good-looking website, but one that is genuinely useful.
For us, design and development go hand in hand. From the very first ideas, we think about how the end result will work, how easy it will be to use and how much room it leaves for future growth.
We have worked with small businesses and on complex enterprise projects alike. We learned a lot from both, and we always tailor that experience to the task at hand. We avoid unnecessary complexity, but we never cut corners on the details.
Our goal is simple: to create digital solutions we are proud of, and that deliver lasting value to our clients.

SME + enterprise
business and digital projects
I built my first website for a small business at sixteen, and my work has been closely tied to the world of SMEs ever since. As an economist, I already focused on how small businesses operate at university, and later gained extensive experience working with them in business, finance and digital roles.
Over the years I have also had the opportunity to take part in larger corporate projects, including work for Genertel, Auchan and MVM. These projects shaped my professional approach significantly: they taught me the importance of consistent design, precise execution and well-thought-out processes. I aim to bring this knowledge to smaller businesses too, always tailored to the needs and resources of the company in question.
I have been running alap design since 2014, working actively across several areas, from UI/UX design and web development to project coordination. I like to understand how a business works, what problems it wants to solve, and how we can build digital tools that genuinely help.
“A good website is not good because of how much it can do, but because of how well it serves the business it was built for.”

human-centred design
As an architect, I have always been interested in how people's needs can be turned into well-functioning, thoughtful and beautiful solutions. When designing a building, it is just as important to understand the client's ideas, habits and real needs as it is for a website or digital interface.
I bring this mindset to UI/UX design as well. I believe good design is never an end in itself: appearance and function should reinforce each other. Clear structure, consistency and carefully crafted details matter to me, because they often decide how natural and easy an interface is to use.
At alap design, I strive to turn our clients' ideas into digital solutions that are not only beautiful but genuinely easy to use. Alongside my design work, I also teach and do research at university, which constantly gives me new perspectives and inspiration.
“Just like with a building, good design on a website is where form and function complement each other naturally.”

his own, at least
Zserbó, officially named Keep in Touch, is a Tibetan terrier who, true to his name, takes staying in touch very seriously. He is a firm believer in face-to-face meetings and does his best not to leave anyone without attention. Keeping his distance is not one of his strengths.
As the youngest member of the team, he is mainly responsible for the good mood and regular breaks. He has firm views on the daily schedule and is not afraid to let us know when he thinks it is time to move. His consistency is flawless, especially when it comes to mealtimes.
He does not know much about design yet, but he already takes an active part in user testing: he examines every new object thoroughly, ideally with more than one of his senses.
“The best ideas are sometimes born on a walk. The best treats, however, are in the kitchen.”
// What we believe in
We don't overcomplicate.
We think it through.
Great results are no accident. There are a few principles we stick to in every project.
Direct
communication
Throughout the project, you deal directly with the people doing the actual work. No unnecessary middlemen, and no information lost along the way.
Design and technology
together
We think about feasibility, performance and future maintainability from the design stage. Looks and functionality are not two separate projects.
The right expert
for the right job
Alongside our own expertise, we work with trusted partners. This lets us help with more complex tasks without pretending to be in-house experts in everything.
Still here
after launch
A website or digital system does not end at launch. We support its long-term operation with maintenance, optimisation and further development.
// Our partners
A good team knows
who to bring in.
We believe every task should be done by someone who truly knows it. We complement our own skills with trusted professional partners, so even more complex projects have the right expertise behind them.
We coordinate the collaboration, so you don't have to juggle different providers.
